The attack on this concert hall was claimed by the jihadist organization Islamic State, although the Russian authorities and Vladimir Putin persist in seeing a Ukrainian lead. Twelve people were arrested after the massacre, including the four suspected attackers who are from Tajikistan, a former Soviet republic where the Islamic State group is active.
