A judicial investigation was opened for “murder of a 15-year-old minor’ against the woman. The young woman comes from Morsbach (Moselle), a town of around 2,600 inhabitants east of Metz.
She had been in police custody since Monday at the Forbach gendarmerie research brigade. An autopsy was carried out and the child was "a priori (...) viable, hence the custody for murder," said Metz deputy public prosecutor Thomas Bernard.
