The Herzkasperl tent could not be at the Oidn Wiesn this year. The city council will probably decide on May 7th whether the restaurateur will be awarded the contract for the historic folk festival.
According to reports, it is Peter Schöniger, the host of the Festhalle Bayernland at the spring festival. The SPD now wants to draw up new rules so that the circus surrounding the tents will come to an end at least next year.. “Cultural and ecological aspects must be in a more appropriate relationship,” says city councilor Klaus Peter Rupp.. Mayor Dieter Reiter: “Since the Oide WiesN is, so to speak, a project close to my heart and we have consciously placed greater emphasis on tradition and cultural offerings there, I certainly welcome it if people are considering whether the cultural offering should be given even greater weight in the future.” The city evaluates according to 13 criteria, including up to eleven points for reliability, technical standards, ecological aspects or attractiveness.
