NASA opens applications after training ten new astronauts. To have a chance to one day travel into space, applicants must be American, with a degree in a scientific, technological or engineering discipline.
They were selected in 2021 from more than 12,000 candidates. They will be able to go to the International Space Station (ISS) and the Moon, as part of the Artemis missions, if they are selected for the mission. They have already undergone two years of training, including in a huge pool of cold water.
