NATO cannot be "an à la carte alliance," says U.S. President-elect Donald Trump.

"NATO remains ready and capable of defending all Allies," says NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg. "I am convinced that the United States will remain a strong and committed ally of the European Union," he says. "We are not going to be able to rely on NATO to protect us," says Stolte. "The United States is going to have to do its own thing," says the U.N. Secretary-general.
