NATO exercise “Steadfast Defender”: Royal Navy aircraft carrier not operational. Around 90,000 soldiers are expected to take part in this large-scale exercise by the end of May.

The planned deployment of the British aircraft carrier “HMS Queen Elizabeth” in an extensive NATO maneuver will not take place. The Royal Navy announced on Sunday (February 4) that the departure was canceled at the last second. A problem was identified with a clutch on the starboard propeller shaft of HMS Queen Elizabeth. Therefore the ship will not leave on Sunday.
