The compatibility of the Netflix application with certain old television models has suddenly stopped a few days ago or is about to be stopped. The now incompatible models are between 10 and 14 years old.

One in two French people have had their television for less than five years, and only 20% for more than ten years. Few current models, particularly 4K OLED, are therefore affected… except perhaps the secondary TV at the end of the corridor. Most manufacturers have pushed out at least one corrective update over the last decade. So all is not lost for your old TV, first check if it is possible to install this patch. For LG, televisions of all sizes and from the old LM 6410, LM860V, LM 670S or LM960V ranges are no longer compatible without security updates offered by the manufacturer from 2016. You can still “reconnect” your old set via its HDMI port with a Google Chromecast key or the Amazon Fire TV Stick or Apple TV. Please note, 2nd (2017) and 3rd generation Apple TVs also lose compatibility this week.
