Netherlands' first Holocaust museum was officially opened in Amsterdam on Sunday. King Willem-Alexander invited Israeli President Isaac Herzog.

His arrival provoked a demonstration during which Israel was accused of committing genocide in Gaza. Hundreds of protesters booed Mr. Herzog's presence at the inauguration, calling for his appearance before the International Criminal Court. The museum, located in the historic Jewish quarter of central Amsterdam, exhibits 2,500 objects. Before the war and the Nazi occupation, the Netherlands was home to some 140,000 Jews. 102,000 of them were killed in the Holocaust, or about 75%.
