New anti-aircraft system approved - this is the drone killer for the Bundeswehr. Three German defense companies are supposed to develop a new air defense system.
It will be ready for series production in 2028. Rheinmetall estimates the cost of the project at around 1.2 billion euros. The new system should be highly mobile. It should have the ability to follow land forces in combat and protect them from attacks from the air. The focus is on modularity and networking with other NATO air defense systems.
