New plans for Titanic II revealed, ten years after first announcement. Australian billionaire Clive Palmer has once again revealed 3D plans of the Titanic II, which he wants to be a faithful replica of the ship sunk in 1912.
The maiden voyage is planned for 2027. Up to $1 billion worth of work is expected to be done on the replica. The shipyard's calls for tenders will not be launched before June 2024 – with contracts expected tobe signed at the end of December. It remains to be seen whether Clive Palmer's ship will set sail.
