New York jail inmates will be able to see the eclipse after suing for religious reasons. The state Department of Corrections will allow inmates at the Woodbourne jail to view the celestial event after six inmates filed a lawsuit.

On Monday, the Moon will block the Sun in the first solar eclipse visible in the United States since August 21, 2017. For those in the path of the total eclipse, the sky will darken. Woodbourne appears to be outside the eclipse path, according to NASA's Eclipse explorer website.
