Robert Habeck dismissed his personified linchpin in the energy transition on Wednesday (17 May): State Secretary Patrick Graichen still has to go. It is possible that an old acquaintance from the Green Party days in northern Germany is at the top of the list.

According to a report in Bild, Klaus Müller is considered one of the first contenders for Graichen's now vacant office. Müller already has a central office: he heads the Federal Network Agency - also a central body in the restructuring of the energy supply.
