A 44-year-old window cleaner and rope access worker died following a fall from five floors, or around fifteen meters, in Nice. The exact circumstances of this fatal and tragic workplace accident remain to be determined.

This is the fourth sudden death of a worker in barely a month in the department. In the country, nearly 640,000 work accidents occurred in 2023, of which 696 were fatal, according to Health Insurance figures which were relayed by the Ministry of Labor. The investigation was opened and entrusted to the local judicial police service. The specialized employee was in full operation, around 9:30 a.m., in a building located on Boulevard René-Cassin, to the west of the city and close to the airport. It was the headquarters of the main social landlord, Côte d'Azur Habitat. Last week, in Cannes, a sixty- year-old lost his life on a construction site after being buried under a pile of earth. On March 18, a roofer died after being struck by a gas cylinder falling seven stories.
