Niger: President Mohamed Bazoum's lawyers ask ECOWAS to demand his release. On the eve of a meeting ofECOWAS heads of state, lawyers for the President of Niger, sequestered since the July 26 coup, are asking the community to act.
On December 15, the ECOWas Court of Justice ordered the immediate release of Mohamed BazOUm. Since then, “no information has been provided either by the Niger authorities or by ECWAS on the execution of the decision,” the lawyers deplore.
