A total of 1,634 traffic accidents occurred on the roads in Starnberg, Tutzing, Berg, Pöcking and Feldafing last year. Seniors were more likely to be the culprits than young people, and the number of accidents involving cyclists remains high.
The most common cause of traffic accidents with serious injuries remains excessive and inadequate speed. Alcohol was the cause of a traffic accident in 21 cases. Accident escapes have increased from 395 to 417 cases, often due to parking collisions or mirror collisions.
