The Stendal regional court, which is hearing proceedings in a high-security hall in Magdeburg, will most likely announce the verdict on February 27th. The prisoner had used the lockup that evening to threaten an officer with his self-made weapon and to make his way towards freedom. He was serving his life sentence for the Halle attack when he built a gun that could fire in his cell.
