Bavaria's new wind farm project failed due to a referendum. The largest wind farm in Bavaria to date is to be built in the Altöttinger Forest with 40 wind turbines.
The citizen survey in Mehring is now preventing the construction of a total of 10 wind turbines - and is putting a stop to the project for the time being. Aiwanger and Söder blame each other for the failure of the wind farm. However, the planned wind farm has not yet failed, even after the referendum.
