The construction of two reactors in the UK has been delayed again. This is a new setback for EDF, which is unable to meet its deadlines.

It will have effects on its financial balance, its capacity to export and its industrial plan. The construction of the two HPC reactors was initially expected to cost 18 billion pounds (some 21 billion euros) The first postponement was announced, with a cost estimate this time set between 25 and 30 billion euros. The second postponement is now expected to take place in 2027.
