Ocean Viking ambulance ship rescues 110 migrants off Libya. Among the people rescued are 11 women, two of whom are pregnant, a one-year-old baby and more than thirty unaccompanied minors.
SOS Méditerranée has rescued more than 39,000 people in the Mediterranean since 2016. In 2023, 3,041 migrants were reported missing after trying to cross the Mediterranean to reach Europe, according to the International Organization for Migration (IOM). Since January, 110 migrants have been missing.
