Offshore wind energy can create 27,000 jobs in Italy - Energia & Energie. The creation of a national floating offshore wind supply chain (i.e.
in the sea on floating platforms anchored to the seabed) could generate a cumulative added value of 57 billion euros between 2030 and 2050. Estimates carried out in collaboration with the Polytechnic of Turin indicate a potential of 207.3 Gw in Italy for floating offshore Wind. Sardinia, Sicily and Puglia among the areas of greatest potential.
