OJ Simpson was convicted of the murder of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown, and Ronald Goldman. The arrest occurred after a cinematic chase on the freeways of Los Angeles.
Simpson later went to prison for a crime committed in 2007, when, helped by five other men, he robbed a Las Vegas hotel room. The former American football star used a hypothetical version to narrate what happened the night of the crime, but he got away with it. He said: "Horrible, it was absolutely horrible. Forget everything you believe, because I'm the only one who knows what happened" He spent 9 years in prison and was later released on parole. He was declared "not guilty", although some time later he had to pay compensation to the victims' families. The trial of the Century became an episode remembered as part of the pop culture of the '90s.
