French wrestler Gagik Snjoyan gave up competing in the Olympic qualifying tournament in Baku from April 5 because of the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan. “My mother did not want to try to understand what wrestling and qualifying for the Paris Olympics meant to me,” he breathes.
Will he get another chance? “I feel sorry for him. I didn't jump to the ceiling when I heard the news, we did a check-up, confides the 30-year-old wrestler. I believe a lot in destiny. If this chance is offered to me it is not for nothing. If I go to Baku, it’s because I deserved it too.”
