After Iranian attack on Israel, the danger of open war has never been greater. Israel's military counted well over 300 flying objects, 99 percent of which were intercepted by air defense and the allies.

Iran's UN mission declared the attack over and at the same time warned of counterattacks - well aware of the great potential for escalation. Israel has regained some of the solidarity of its allies. However, a military solo effort against Iran could put this new diplomatic capital at risk again. Israel also fears the threat posed by a massive missile and drone arsenal, in addition to Iran's controversial nuclear program. The US has repeatedly accused Iran of seeking nuclear weapons for civilian purposes. Iran denies the allegations and asserts that its nuclear program is purely civilian and used for peaceful purposes. The U.N. Security Council has called on Iran to refrain from any further attacks on Israel. The UN Security Council also called on Israel to protect its citizens from Iran's nuclear weapons program, which it says is a threat to the world.
