Four young men from Berlin were stuck in the snow on the way to the Zugspitze. Two mountain rescuers were flown with the Christoph Murnau helicopter to the four blocked people who were below the Knorrhütte.

The four were transported to Garmisch-Partenkirchen uninjured in two flights. The mountain rescue service points out that there is still a lot of snow at higher altitudes in the mountains. If you can't make any further progress in the. snow, it's a good idea to turn around and go back along the ascent route.
