One star out of 12 devours its planets, their twins say so. One star in twelve is a devourer of planets: what reveals these aggressive 'eating habits' are their twins.

In 8% of the 91 pairs studied the composition of one of the two twins differs from the other, due to the fact that it fed on planets or materials from planetary formation disks. The discovery, published in the journal Nature, sheds new light on the study of the evolution of planetary systems.
