Frenchwoman Justine Triet wins Palme d'Or for "Anatomy of a Fall" Triet is only the third woman to win the main prize at the Cannes Film Festival. Grand Jury Prize, second most important award of the festival, was awarded to Jonathan Glazer.
Turkish actress Merve Dizdar accepted the award for Best Actress. Japan's Koji Yakusho was honored as best actor for his role in "Perfect Days" by Wim Wenders. Finnish director Aki Kaurismäki for "Fallen Leaves". Yuji Sakamoto for best screenplay for the film "Monster"
