Operation “dead college” in Charente-Maritime: parents and teachers united against the “clash of knowledge” reform. The government's desire is to create level groups in French and maths in 6th and 5th grade classes at the start of the next school year.
“The government has renamed them resource groups but the principle remains the same,” says Delphine Martin, French teacher at Grimaux College in Rochefort. The 2025 school year promises to be hectic, “it is very likely that we will refuse to put the reform into practice”, says the teacher.
