National resilience is a well-worn and vague term, yet it is significant. Beyond the IDF's impressive intelligence capabilities, initiative, and operational completion capabilities, the Israeli public has a dramatic role to play.
It would be good to emphasize it among the political echelon in advance of the UN reports that will come later. Public compliance with Home Front Command directives does save lives, but it has additional cognitive implications. It prevents not only loss of life, but also damage to morale or national resilience as a result.
