But a mass-casualty attack could lead the current government to a broad military platform. Some security officials claim that it is better to initiate the operation now so as not to pay a heavy price in blood. The ability to calm the area that has been simmering for more than a year is very low, especially in light of the Palestinian Authority's incompetence.
