Parallel admissions allow registration in a major school after a BTS, BUT, bachelor's degree... With equivalences.
What was sometimes an opportunistic reorientation, becomes for some students a strategy defined from the first wishes on Parcoursup. The new generation of students is increasingly tempted by parallel admissions which are seen as a less elitist path and therefore easier to access. It is estimated that around half of students from major business or engineering schools integrated via parallel admissions. The rise of Bachelor training (Bac+3) is also part of this trend: less theory and more concrete. The Bac+5 will then be an option... in parallel admissions, as well as in the Passerelle and Passse'Ingénieur competitions. The terms of admission based on qualifications may vary depending on the school. Some schools wishing to recruit students who are already somewhat specialized may require, as criteria for applying for admission, to have obtained a certain diploma in a specific sector.
