United Airlines flight UA59, departing from Frankfurt in Germany, was forced to turn around shortly after taking off. The journey, which was supposed to last twelve hours, was interrupted after two.
The reason: the air in the cabin of the Boeing 777 was stinky... due to a defective toilet cabin. According to Bild, the device was seven years old. Still, all UA59 passengers were able to stay in a hotel for one night free of charge. The next day, they were diverted to other flights to San Francisco.
