[HIGHLIGHTS] Paris: threatened with death after asking a student to remove her veil, the headmaster of Ravel high school left his position

Principal of Maurice-Ravel high school, in the 20th arrondissement, has left his position, the Paris rectorate said on Tuesday. A student at the establishment claimed, at the end of February, to have been “pushed and hit” by the manager who asked her to remove her veil.

The principal was the target of death threats, notably via social networks. He had received the support of the Minister of National Education, Nicole Belloubet.
