Paris: watch out for the return of processionary caterpillars in gardens and woods. Classified as harmful since April 2022, they can sometimes cause very severe hives.
The City of Paris recalls that its Green Spaces and Environment department is responsible for identifying pine processionary Caterpillars. It is the only one listed in France with its cousin the oak processionary moth, which is also a danger for both humans and flora.. Nest boxes for tits are also installed in the most exposed places.
