Paris 2024: Uber trains its drivers to transport disabled people in Île-de-France. The American VTC firm hopes to offer, during next summer's Paralympic Games, 170 vehicles capable of carrying wheelchairs.

Estimates predict the arrival of 350,000 visitors with disabilities. A free shuttle system from major Parisian stations is already planned. But the bet does not seem easy to keep. At the end of December, fewer than 800 taxi licenses for people with reduced mobility had been issued.
