Paris 2024 Olympics: only around forty Russian athletes authorized to participate in the Games. The inclusion of Russian and Belarusian athletes remains a controversial issue.
Some sports, such as horse riding, have announced they will not admit any athletes from both countries to compete. Others, like swimming or tennis, will allow Russians and Belarusians to compete under IOC restrictions. The latter will also have to participate without flags, emblems or national anthems. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) approved the participation of Russian athletes in December 2023.
