The competition is less expected than the Euro football by betting operators in terms of economic benefits, but could generate a strong influx of punters. In France, nearly a billion euros, including 597 million online, were bets on the 2022 World Cup matches alone. All operators plan to put 670 million euros (i.e. 14% more than in 2024) in advertising investments on the table.
