A Limited Traffic Zone (ZTL) must be effective at the end of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, in the fall of 2024. This system, already used in several large European cities such as Madrid, Milan and Rome, intends to limit transit traffic in the center of the capital.

The City of Paris invites residents to learn about the project and share their observations as part of a public inquiry organized from April 11 to May 13, 2024. A report will follow which describes the progress of the investigation, analyzes the observations collected and the responses provided by the project owner. The findings of this report will be made available to the public for one year after the investigation is completed. A public meeting must also be held on April 30, 2024, from 6p.m. to 9 p.m., in the wedding hall of the Paris Center town hall (3rd arrondissement) The ZTL will make it possible to substantially reduce traffic levels on certain major axes in the city.
