Parliamentary election in Pakistan overshadowed by internet closures. Two major political dynasties are now fighting for power again.

Around 130 million eligible voters in the crisis-ridden country were called on Thursday to vote on the distribution of power in the National Assembly and the provincial parliaments. Given the fragile security situation, the polling stations were protected by 600,000 police and soldiers. The election victory will now be fought primarily between the two major political Dynasties of the Sharifs and Bhuttos.
