The Madonna was missing from the Partnach Gorge for a few months. Now it returns – completely transformed, beautifully restored.
What no one can tell is that she was carrying a treasure that surprised everyone. Three gold coins, nine silver coins and two copper-colored pennies emerged. A small box was soldered onto the box and contained a handwritten document. The booklet would provide information about the history of the Madonna. Not much is known about her nor when. Neither who created nor when she was created. For a long time, it was assumed that it was created between 1910 and 1912. But it may have been inaugurated during the Holzer era - the Triftsteig was laid out in 1886 - which, according to Rudolf Achtner, is the middle or end of the 19th century.
