Françoise and Jacques Hurtrelle discovered an unknown crustacean in Normandy, named after them. The retired couple collected hundreds of fossils which they donated to the Paléospace de Villers-sur-Mer.

The enthusiasts' finds were inventoried, labeled and then studied by international experts. A publication has just been released. It formalizes the discovery of a species of crustaceans from the late Jurassic period (approximately 155 million years ago) The publication has been released by the Paleontological Society of France.
