Patricia Aridjis' camera explores sexist brutality, the pain of disappearances and the daily struggle of women for their rights. The photographer has inaugurated a retrospective at the Photography Archive Museum in Mexico City that brings together more than three decades of her work.

“I am very concerned about social issues, what is happening in my country, which I think you cannot ignore. There are always an infinite number of things to tell and I am thinking about that all the time and about the way to give my opinion through photography," she says.
