Every year in May, the Patronage Day marks the Marian festival “Patrona Bavariae” for Catholics in Bavaria. This year, on Sunday, May 5th, the Antlaßschützenkompanie Lenggries will host up to 5,000 mountain riflemen from Bavaria, Tyrol, Welsch-Tirol and South Tyrol as well as high-ranking politicians.

Duke Maximilian began his reign in 1598 with a pilgrimage to the Holy Virgin in Altötting. The first House Madonna became a model that was imitated thousands of times in the houses of the nobility, citizens and farmers - right up to our time. The Isarwinkel has always been a stronghold of old Bavarian tradition. Customs and costumes are brought to life here and come from the heart.
