The prayer demonstration will be the largest planned in Israel for years, and between 30 and 40 thousand people are expected to attend. This is the first time since the Gulf War 34 years ago that the entire ultra-Orthodox community is united in prayer.
During the prayer meeting, they will say chapters of the Psalms, a minach prayer and forgiveness and together they will accept "the yoke of the kingdom of heaven" The prayer is held in light of the call of the great orthodox rabbis, the chief rabbis of Israel, members of the Council of Torah Sages.
