Pensions are rising only to a small extent compared to inflation. In order to be in the top ten percent as a pensioner, the income must be quite high.

The gap with the average pensioner is large. People with a university degree with a median income of 2808 euros have the most money. In a comparison of the different population groups, single parents are the worst off. Here, the at-risk-of-poverty rate is 37 percent. The median income is only 1565 euros.
