Petro responds to Netanyahu and insists on a ceasefire in Gaza. The Colombian president sends a letter to the Prime Minister of Israel in which he affirms that he is working for the release of the compatriot held by Hamas.
In the letter, Petro assures: "In order to guarantee its integrity, this Government is taking steps at the highest level, in order to allow Mr. [Elkana] Bohbot's safe return home and family reunification" Netanyahu, in the text he sent him almost three weeks ago, had told him that Colombia and Israel have the “common cause” of fighting.
