Petrol at 2.5 euros per served in many petrol stations in the Bel Paese. Highest price was charged on the A21 Piacenza-Brescia, where a liter of green in served mode was equal to 2,549 euro.

In Italy for every liter of petrol purchased by motorists, over 1 euro goes in taxes, equal to 56.4% of the price paid to the pump. On each liter of fuel you pay taxes between 12 and 14 euro cents more than in the rest of Europe currently the State earns almost 3.2 billion euros per month in fuel taxes. "The government would do well not to look for excuses and to immediately cut fuel excise duties", says President Carlo Rienzi. The Ministry of Business and Made in Italy, however, observes that just as there are "a few dozen distributors who charge a higher price for what is served", there are also "several thousand who, to date, charge a lower price than the national average"
