A folk festival evening in Dachau completely escalated in August 2022. The result: Slightly injured police officers and four handcuffed men.

This evening now had an aftermath in court. Three defendants and six witnesses - four of them police officers - were supposed to describe what had happened. It all started when one of the Olching friends - all noticeably drunk - took his glass of wheat beer out of the tent, which the security service did not allow. The security service describes the friends that evening as follows: “They were looking for trouble.” There was an argument, pushing, and a punch. “We didn’t do anything,” asserted one ofthe friends in the dock. When the police officers arrived, the situation escalated further. ‘I have never seen so many officers there,’ one security guard said. One 23-year-old in particular fought hard against it. He kicked around and insulted a policewoman “in the worst possible way,“ as the public prosecutor put it.
