Police stop smugglers after a risky chase on the A8 towards Munich. Six Syrians without identification papers were in the car, two of them in the trunk.
The youngest passenger was only 16 years old and was traveling without a guardian. The driver is strongly suspected of smuggling in foreigners under dangerous and inhumane conditions. He will also have to answer for resisting law enforcement officers and endangering road traffic. The A8 motorway in the direction of Munich had to be closed briefly in order to ensure the safety of other road users.
