Policewoman shot during operation in Nienburg - shot came from a colleague's weapon. Police cordoned off a large area ofthe site of the incident.
A 46-year-old man armed with a knife was killed during the operation on Saturday. The police responded with shots, which fatally injured the man. A policewoman was also hit - apparently by a colleague. The officer was injured in the leg on Holy Saturday. It was initially unclear how exactly the injuries occurred and which police weapon she was shot with.
