Preparing for the Animuc fair: Seam by seam to create a fantasy costume. The manga and anime fair Animuc has been taking place on the monastery grounds every year since 2009.
Thousands of visitors from all over Bavaria to Fürstenfeldbruck. Some even sew the elaborate costumes themselves, like Tagblatt employee Amelie Knittel. For a character like Frodo, I worked with linen for the shirt and different velvets for the vest and trousers. But I've also worked a lot with artificial leather for a character from a futuristic world who rides a motorcycle.
